Our humans are Ros Jenkins and Hugh Brown and we are based in North West London, England.

FizzlePhut was one of our first babies - many many years ago. An accidental litter when we didn't know much about rats (the pet shop swore they were all girls...!) he was named because he was born on bonfire night and he had a personality like a firework - energetic for a very short time (fizzled) before giving up for a nap - wherever, whenever (phut!)

Things are very different now from those first accidental days. Fizzlephut's rattery now plans litters roughly once per year. We are working to improve the health of pet rats, who tend to suffer from breathing problems and tumours more than most pets. However, we do not keep large numbers of rats in order to do this - preferring to work with other breeders, friends, family and pet owners instead and only keeping a small group of rats who we get to know really well.

We do not breed rats to compete in shows. We do not have 'stock'. We do not breed a particular colour or type because it is fashionable. We do have some very cute, inquisitive and loving ratties.
